The infectious beats that are a hallmark of their signature style are the work of Mohamed Aniff, who also brings to the group a soulful tenor voice, rapping talent and versatile guitar work. Writing melodies and harmonies comes naturally to Chan Fonseka, and the duo complement each other perfectly in the studio. Chan also does vocals and keyboards, while his sister Nishani adds sparkle as the band's sole female vocalist. Arjuna Wijeyekoon has a background in classical clarinet, while his bass voice adds body to the lower end. Bobby Watawala plays thabla and dholki. He also has a flair for writing lyrics, and rounds out the vocals. To bring out the rich and vivid imagery of their native language, Chamboni has drawn on the amazing wordsmanship of lyricist Nimal Perera in a creative partnership.
